After representatives of elements of the Komodo community and a number of NGOs visited the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia (KLHK RI) in Jakarta on Saturday, August 3, 2019, the central government through the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, finally ensured that the planned closure of the Komodo island and the relocation of local residents would not be conducted 2020, as planned by the Governor of NTT who has enlivened the public space and now gave birth to pros and cons in society lately.

This certainty was conveyed by the Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (KSDAE), Wiratno, when entertaining a number of representatives of the Mabar community elements, consisting of, the Komodo Village Indigenous Leaders, Youth Leaders, Mabar Formapp activists, Sunspirit For Peach and Justic NGOs, Science NGOs Last Saturday (3/8/2019).

Answering questions from a number of delegations, Wiratno stressed that the authority of the Komodo National Park conservation area is the authority of the Central Government, through the Ministry of KLHK, not the authority of the NTT Governor, Viktor B. Laiskodat. Because of this, emphatically, Diriya said he refused the plan to close the island of Komodo and relocate residents.

The Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (KSDAE), Wiratno, when entertaining a number of representatives of elements of the Mabar community, which consisted of, Komodo Village Indigenous Leaders, Youth Leaders, Mabar Formapp activists, Sunspirit For Peach and Justic NGOs, Science NGOs, Saturday (Saturday) 8/3/2019) then.

“Regarding the plan to evict the residents and the closure of the Komodo island, it is not our plan from KLHK. I also reject the eviction and closure, “said Wiratno.

Meanwhile, the TNK problem, he admitted, so far his party was looking for a solution by creating a carrying capacity or cargo capacity that would enter the area, such as ship management and so on.
